Student Council has wanted to have a homecoming dance for a while, but COVID and then Hurricane Ian kept that from happening.

Friday night, Oct. 21, though, Student Council will host a Halloween Dance.

Student body president Camden Souther said that student council wanted to do something fun for the students.

“We just wanted to bring something new to Chapman that we’ve never had,” Souther said.

There’s going to be music, food, and decorations.

Brittney Feagan, chemistry teacher and student council sponsor, explained how the fall dance was going to be laid out.

“We will have a DJ where the high tables are,” she said.

According to Souther, the DJ will either be Assistant Principal Matt Davis or English teacher Andy Lopez.

“We’ll have a dance floor on the checkerboard part of the cafeteria with tables surrounding it,” Feagan said.

Students can buy tickets until Thursday during all three lunches.
