The Lansings take on the boys tennis team
Barbara and Mark Lansing take on coaching the boys’ tennis team. Mark Lansing teaches the older boys, while Barbara Lansing teaches the younger boys.
“I would say for the two of us we work very well together,” Barbara Lansing said. “We’ve done it in the military, we’ve done it at other schools, so we actually really work well together.”
Barbara and Mark Lansing have been coaching and teaching for many years. Only just recently they’ve started teaching in the same building.
“We have obviously been married for a long time, so I know her strength, she knows my strengths,” said Mark Lansing. “So I depend on her for very specific things; she takes care of them, and I never need to worry about them.”
Junior Grant Kinlaw says the boy’s tennis team is more of a challenge this year. “It’s a lot, we can’t get away with as much of them there,” said Kinlaw. “Mrs. Lansing teaches the beginners and she helps them for when they get older”
Barbara and Mark Lansing used to be in the military together. This helped them work together.
“I never need to worry about them. Plus she is an excellent coach for the younger kids and we have twenty kids of which there are about eight of them that are brand new, and she coached varsity tennis before,” said Mark Lansing. “I know she can go ahead and handle that, and she is, like I said, a really good teacher.”
