The gift of adoption is very special for families. Although I wasn’t adopted, my little sister was.

When I first met my little sister, she was only 6-months young. It was then that a bond formed in my heart, that would last a lifetime.

At the time I didn’t know it, but this little girl would grow into one of the most compassionate souls I would ever know.

When asked, she’ll tell you her perspective on adoption is that her mom loved her enough to let her join another family that could provide for her and let her grow into such a selfless lady.

Adoption has provided my little sister with a loving family and a fighting chance. Because of this adoption, my little sister now knows what true love and a strong family is. She laughs, she cries, she screams, but at the end of the day, you can always count on her to turn your whole world upside down.

My little sister is such a tremendous blessing in myself and my family’s life. She has definitely shown us what it’s like to keep going.

Even though everyone has a different experience with adoption (some at least), I hope that everyone gets to experience the happiness you feel when you are around the heart that changed your life. You will find your forever family.

She is definitely the pride and joy that brings our family together.

I am here to say that the beauty of adoption is that it can change your life while also changing the life of someone else.
