Here at Chapman, students had the idea to put a box in the girl’s bathroom with feminine products and call it “The Black Box Project.”
The idea of the box was to “provide necessary supplies in the restroom for young women,” Assistant Principal Amy Driggers said.
These supplies are not only just for emergencies, but can also be used for students who can not be provided these supplies at home.
“Being an educator my whole career, I felt that that was a good idea to offer to students for emergencies or ones who are just in need,” Driggers said.
The Box is currently stocked, but any student can help refill the box. If students would like to contribute into helping with the box then students are more than welcome to help.
