Some teachers have been making students come in after school and do extra work. This is not like homework because of the fact you must stay after school.

Some teachers have said these after-school hours are worth 80% of your grade. Some teachers require eight hours to stay after school.

This could cause many problems such as multiple students failing because they can not stay. Some students can’t stay after school because their parents won’t let them while others have after-school clubs, sports and jobs they can’t get out of. 

You can make up these hours on days like Saturday if you can not come during the week. 

This can also cause problems if you have plans for the weekend. Some parents make plans that can’t be changed.

After hours could be useful at times. For some students who have low grades, this could be the perfect time to help bring their grades up.

These after hours should not be a requirement but rather an opportunity to help students with their work and grades.
