Schools should invest in renewable energy
For a lot of places in the United States and other countries, clean energy has been a relatively big focus. Things like solar energy are renewable and don’t harm the environment in any way, making them a much better choice, especially over coal and oil, which are not renewable and not good for the environment in any way whatsoever. Despite facts that show real dangers, a lot of people still do not believe that things such as climate change affect us.
If schools across the United States were to adopt these kind of changes, it might encourage the neighborhoods around the school to also invest in renewable energy. Things like having school buses run on electricity could save the school money as they could have a charging station for them and make it so that they do not have to pay so much money on gas and oil, or even upkeep because electric vehicles lack a lot of the core things that regular cars have such as engines and gas tanks.
Other things that could be done to help would be solar energy via solar panels on the roof of the school.
These would be useful for providing energy and also would probably give the school a lot of publicity due to the fact that no other school in the United States has really invested in anything like this, so this would save money on bus repairs, school energy costs, and also draw in money from public, and help to encourage people to invest in clean energy.
