Operation Santa project brings joy during Christmas
Every year during the month of December, Chapman helps the members of its community by having students and teachers work together to buy Christmas presents for those in need.
Guidance Counselor Susan Burgess, who took over the program seven years ago when she arrived to Chapman, oversees the Operation Santa project at Chapman.
This year Chapman will be helping 28 children.
Individual classes are given one child to support. Beta Club also supports a child. Students and teachers buy clothes toys or anything else that the child has requested on their wishlist.
“It is a nice way to help those that are not as fortunate,” Burgess said. “The best thing about the program is that it is a great way to help those in the community that may need a little more cheer during this holiday season.”
Your donation will support the student journalists of Chapman High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
