National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated annually from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. The celebration recognizes the contributions of Hispanics and here at Chapman students made that known.
Students part of the Spanish Club worked hard by setting up mini-events to help support Hispanic Heritage Month.
Sophomore Kassidy Boyd and junior Krystal Lopez are members who helped celebrate the month.
“We sold Aqua Frescas during lunch to help fundraise money for Eliezer, who lives in Nicaragua so he can get an education, food and clothes,” Lopez said.
In the halls of Chapman, there are even posters. The posters include famous Hispanics and their famous quotes.
The Spanish Club helped put these up together to show the importance of people’s heritage, even when they are famous or have passed.
