Chapman enforces new seat belt policy
To better protect students, Chapman is enforcing a new seatbelt policy.
Soon, students will see a school or law enforcement official in the parking lot checking to make sure students are wearing seat belts as they leave the parking lot.
“Students who are found in violation of this (policy) will not be allowed to drive,” Chapman Principal Ty Dawkins said.
Seat belts reduce the risk of death by 45% and reduce the risk of serious injury by 50%.
