Thursday Night Football is not worth my time

A lot of people have the same argument every time someone brings up NFL on Thursday nights:

“If you’re a real football fan you should never complain about football.”

Guess what, buddy, I am a football fan because I like good football, but, the teams they usually have playing on Thursday nights aren’t good football teams in the slightest.

Every year, the NFL seems to always find a way to pair the Tennessee Titans and the Jacksonville Jaguars on a Thursday night.  Always.  Nobody wants to watch that game!

Not only boredom is a big problem with Thursday Night Football, but it also the toll it takes on the athletes involved in the game.

Nine times out of 10, both teams are coming off of Sunday games and having to play four days later.  That’s absolutely ridiculous!

Football careers in general are already short enough; why make them shorter just to try and make a little extra revenue?

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell never ceases to amaze me with his stupidity.

Thursday Night Football is a mockery of good football and doesn’t need to exist.

Period.

Bad football, hurting players, shortening their preparation to make the game even worse, the list goes on. There may not seem like an alternative but the current system isn’t worth it. Roger Goodell needs to come to this realization and fast.
