Many of the jobs you see today might not have been a thing 30 years ago, due to not having the internet until the 1990s.
You can take many career paths in computer science, such as robotics, computer engineering, and animation.
“Students either really like it or they don’t,” Johnson said. “You need to have the mindset for it, you do a lot of hands-on activities in (these classes).”
AP Computer Science is available to students. “If you do choose to take the AP class after you can get a college credit,” said Johnson.
“Computer science is a difficult class to take, and it’s one of the classes that I do stress about but I think it could be beneficial in the future, with whatever career I decide to take,” said freshman Lily Gibbs.
Computer science can be used to increase students’ computing skills and not just use technology but also create technology.
Computer science gives you a general knowledge of things if you want to continue on the path of dealing with technology.
You can apply what you learned in computer science across different subjects like engineering and business.
