Seniors prepare for college as graduation approaches
With graduation quickly approaching, most seniors are getting very anxious to receive their diploma.
Along with the stress of graduation day coming upon them so quickly, most are nervous about leaving for college or in some cases even choosing which college they want to attend.
Senior Casey Hall is choosing to stay close to home for different reasons.
“I’m going to USC-Upstate because it transfers all of their classes to USC so I can continue my education in Columbia,” Hall said.
Hall said going to school at USC-Upstate will help her strike a delicate balance.
“You will have more freedom away from home, but staying closer to home helps you transfer into the college lifestyle,” Hall said.
Senior India Woods is excited about college but believes she will have to manage her time more.
“I will have to study more in college than I ever did in high school,” Woods said. “Time management is the key to success in college.”
Even though Woods will be close to home, she will be choosing to live on campus for different reasons.
“I plan to live on campus at Upstate so that I can learn to become independent and learn how to handle my responsibilities on my own,” Woods said.
Senior Jarred Barnette has chosen to go to Limestone College, but he plans to still find family time.
“I plan to visit my family very frequently without getting behind on my college work,” Barnette said.
