The gateway to the future
As graduation approaches I’m filled with excitement, anxiety, and major senioritis all in one.
Since K4, or in some cases just K5, this is what we’ve all dreamed about: walking across the stage with that rolled up piece of paper in front of our whole class.
So far, our lives have consisted of working our butts off to make it to this day.
Until our senior year, we fail to realize that it doesn’t end after graduation, that a diploma is the gateway to our future.
After we earn it, we have to take it and make something of ourselves with it.
This is your chance to further your education, join the military or go into the work field.
Those who further their education will either live on campus, or at home.
This is when you will meet new people, and find ourselves.
It all seems so scary.
Meeting new people and getting used to a new environment.
Lets face it, after four years you’ve gotten so used to the same place it kind of feels like home.
But just like home, we have to move away one day.
It’s time to make more memories and work even harder than before. This time for a different reason.
This time all of our reasons will be different, unlike in high school we’re all working for the same thing: A career and eventually a family.
