Seniors prepare for graduation
The last official day for the Class of 2017 is May 12.
It will be both an emotional and exciting day for the seniors.
As this day approaches everyone is preparing in a different way.
Senior Matthew Spears is preparing by focusing more on his school work to keep his grades up.
“I’ve really started buckling down with school and picking my grades up,” Spears said. “I want them higher than they are and I want them to stay that way.”
Everyone’s emotions are different about leaving Chapman.
Some absolutely cannot wait while others are nervous about finally going into the real world alone.
Senior Cam Carson is more anxious than he is nervous about taking this next step in life.
“I’m excited about being able to get out into the real world and see what it’s like on my own,” Carson said. “At this point I’m not scared nor am I nervous about leaving. I guess I’m just too excited about the next chapter in life.”
No matter how excited or how scared the seniors may be, there will always be something they will never forget about their high school years.
Senior Shawna Hall has had a crazy ride here at Chapman, but one thing she’ll never forget are the years she spent playing sports.
“I will always cherish the years I spent playing sports, especially volleyball,” Hall said.“I will never forget having the chance to become such great friends with even better people.”
