Panther’s volleyball is set for Upper State
The Chapman High School Volleyball team is keeping their undefeated season going as they knock off Crescent and continue to head towards the state championship.
“The matches are now 1 vs 1, and whoever wins moves on and the other is eliminated,” Head Coach Jennifer Bogan said. “These matches are crucial for us.”
The girls beat Indian Land 3 games to 1 on Monday night and Crescent 3-0 on Wednesday night.
“We haven’t changed any of our normal routines,” Senior Bre Mabry said.“We are just giving us our all every game.”
“We have been practicing a lot harder than normal,” Freshman Jenna Calloway said.
The team will play against Powdersville for Upper State, and they are doing all they can to prepare for it.
“The most difficult thing is trying not to give up during the games and the rest of the season,” Mabry said.
“We are trying to grow closer as a team and improve our teamwork and trust in each other,” Calloway said.
The Panthers are still on the prowl with a tough road ahead as they continue their race towards State.
The Panthers will play the Patriots at home on Monday, Oct. 30.
