Chapman and Dillon face off again in State Championship
Almost a year has passed since Chapman defeated Dillon by a score of 29-27 in the 2016 South Carolina 3-A State Championship.
This year, the teams will meet again in Columbia at Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday, December 2nd at 3:00.
Unlike last year, both teams still remain undefeated at 14-0, and there is no arguing the fact that neither team has had to struggle in any game they have played this season.
There is no doubt that points will be hard to come by in this matchup because of both teams’ outstanding defenses. If the Wildcats want to have a chance at winning this game, they will have to figure out how to break through the Panthers solid run defense.
The Panthers have also been very successful through the air by connecting on many deep ball passes that have resulted in touchdowns. The Panthers have shown strength in pretty much every area on the field.
As for the Wildcats, they will be holding nothing back, seeking redemption from last year’s game, but they will have to keep the Panthers from moving the ball through the air and on the ground if the want to keep points off of the board.
For the fans, there will be a community pep rally Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday morning at 10 a.m the town of Inman will be sending the players off to Columbia.
After the game, the players will be welcomed home in downtown Inman.
If you are attending the game, the crowd is expected to be large, so it would be a good idea to get down there early to ensure a good seat to watch the game.
Also, don’t forget to show some school spirit at the game by representing school colors and attire. The Panthers are the home team in this game and will be wearing the Panther blue uniforms.
Come out and get the stadium rocking on Saturday, Panther nation!
