Many high school students spend their last years in high school looking at colleges to apply for. Well, here’s the college for you. This college is close to home, athletic, home to great food, and don’t forget academics. Clemson has all you could ever need and more!
The benefits of attending a college close to home are amazing when considered. There’s comfort that can be found in knowing that your home is close to where you’re attending. You’re now able to see your family more often than if you were attending a college further away and you can more easily access items you may need that were left at home.
Clemson athletics are through the roof recently with the most recent national championship in soccer and reaching the Elite 8 in basketball. This is the first time since 1980 that Clemson has made it this far in college basketball. Clemson also has a competitive football team, volleyball team, gymnastics team and more.
Another highlight of Clemson is the benefit of delicious food found all over the campus. The Smoking Pig is a great place for any barbeque lover and Your Pie is an amazing location for pizza fans as well. Don’t forget Walk On’s, an amazing restaurant located in downtown Clemson. With all these amazing choices, food is never a problem down in Clemson.
The academic highlight of Clemson can’t be forgotten either. Clemson has a wonderful student-to-teacher ratio at around 16:1 with an 85% graduation rate. That’s higher than Coastal Carolina’s 45.8% graduation rate and South Carolina’s 72% graduation rate. Clemson is also credited to having excellent teaching according to The Princeton Review.
Clemson has also been home for many inspiring individuals. This includes Nikki Haley, Lee Brice, Trevor Lawrence, Travis Entien Jr., Horace Grant and many more. We also can’t forget “Safety,” the 2020 movie about a Clemson student athlete who took care of his brother while attending Clemson.
Clemson is the home of great academics, athletics and a family like any other.
