There has been a debate about whether or not “The Nightmare Before Christmas” movie is a Christmas movie or a Halloween movie. Let us start with whether it is a good movie and the stats from Rotten Tomatoes say that “’The Nightmare Before Christmas’ is unique and timeless, a magical adventure that’ll delight the senses and steal your heart. Content collapsed. One of the best films of all time, the gorgeous stop-motion animation and story of Jack Skellington longing for something more leaves us breathless, happy, and fulfilled.”
Now let’s get into the topic. This is from Eagle’s View and it says that “’The Nightmare Before Christmas’ is a Halloween movie despite what some people may think. The whole aesthetic and coloration of the movie is a dark, scary, and spooky movie. The majority of the movie’s setting is in Halloweentown and is 100% focused on Halloween.”
But does it focus more on the Halloween side or the Christmas side because the movie is looking at Jack and he is getting obsessed with Christmas and some people say that “about 65% of the movie looks like that they focused more on Christmas and then transitions back to Halloween for the last 10-15 minutes.”
But I think it is a multi-occasion movie because I watch it both on Halloween and Christmas.
