Empty areas can be turned into something much more valuable. I think the concession stand we use at volleyball games should be turned into a school convenience store.
The students and the school would benefit from this. The students would be able to buy things they need like hair ties, deodorant, feminine products, or a quick snack. The school would be making money while they are providing students things they might need.
The school could still have vending machines but at the convenience store there could be more variety and soda with sugar. It could also have daily necessities like toothbrushes, deodorant, toothpaste, dry shampoo, etc. This could be for students that forget to do something at home or if they don’t have the things they need at home.
The different sport coaches that don’t already work at the school could stay in the store and sell the products and put the money in a register. They could switch every week or even everyday and have a set schedule so nothing will change unless there is an emergency.
The school could put the money towards paying the coaches, restocking, or to classes that need material like yearbook, newspaper, art or the library.
This store would help provide students everyday necessities, while helping the school raise money quickly everyday.
