College Knowledge: Anderson University
Anderson University is a private, Christ-centered university that was founded in 1917. The small classes help students feel connected with their professors and other students.
Students attending Anderson are offered bachelor, master and doctoral degrees which they can study for on campus as well as online.
Students who attend Anderson have a choice of 36 majors, 29 minors and seven master degrees.
US News, World Report and Princeton Review have ranked Anderson as one of the best universities in the South.
Senior Emma Phillips plans to attend Anderson to study special education. Anderson stood out to Phillips because it is Christ-centered and people oriented.
“I’m most looking forward to opportunities to get involved on campus,” Phillips said.
Orchestra teacher Jeanette Kuhn attended Anderson where she majored in music education with an emphasis in instrumental music. Kuhn felt as if she had a good relationship with her professors because Anderson was a small school compared to Dorman where she went to high school.
Kuhn mentioned that she found the campus absolutely beautiful and full of friendly faces.
“I love my life now, but if I could rewind and do it again I would in a heartbeat,” Kuhn said. “It was the best.”
