Dutton’s Family Restaurant officially opened on Jan. 23.
We went on opening day to see how it compares to other restaurants in Inman.
First, the restaurant’s prices are very fair, with the meat and two sides being $15 and the meat and one side being $11. They also gave out a free dessert of chocolate pudding.
The sit-down part of Dutton’s is very old school in a way due to the older-style booths and bar seats that reminded us of a 1950s or 1960s diner. It is also old school in the way you pay at the counter with an older register and equipment like an older drink machine and milkshake maker.
We recommend this restaurant as a great place for all ages. It’s a family-friendly environment. It’s a great place for a meal with friends or a family night out.
Garrison got the grilled chicken salad with balsamic vinaigrette and thinks highly of it. The grilled chicken was very tender, and the balsamic was very good. The base was very basic and okay, but overall, it was pretty good for a small-town restaurant like Dutton’s.
Declan got the chicken tenders, fries and mac and cheese. The chicken tenders were good and were a good size. The fries were homemade and very fresh. The mac and cheese was my favorite and the best thing he had at Dutton’s.
Brayden Lewis got the cheeseburger and mac and cheese. The cheeseburger was good and solid for its price, and the mac and cheese was the best item on the menu at Dutton’s. Overall, he thinks that for a new restaurant, Dutton’s should be all right in Inman.
Dutton’s is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. They plan to open on Sunday soon for brunch.
Overall, we believe that Duttons is a good restaurant and should be around for a while.
