VIDEO: Chapman faculty and students predict the Super Bowl outcome
A year has passed since the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history when the New England Patriots overcame a 28-3 deficit and defeated the Atlanta Falcons to claim Super Bowl LI.
It led to the only Super Bowl in history to go into overtime.
This year’s game is between the Patriots and the Eagles. It will also be the second time these two teams have met each other in a Super Bowl.
The first meeting was in 2005 with the Patriots winning 24-21. Tom Brady played in the game despite it being 13 years ago.
This time, the Eagles will be led by backup Nick Foles who has shown that he is capable of winning big games.
He has worked well with the offense in the short time he had to prepare for it after the Carson Wentz injury.
The Patriots are the favorite to win the game by -5.5, but this is nowhere near an actual representation of how the game will go.
If the Eagles want to stay in the game, they will quickly have to figure out the Patriots stout offensive line and will need to keep pressure on Brady.
The Patriots secondary will also need to do their part which means they must contain Alshon Jeffery. Neither team can afford to give up big pass plays in this game.
The game is being held in Minneapolis at the Viking’s stadium, who were defeated by the Eagles to make it to the Super Bowl.
Brady will be going for the sixth ring of his career and has been to the Super Bowl almost half of the years he has played in the league.
I predict a close game that comes down to the last drive. Patriots will win 34-27.
Whether you just watch it for the commercials, or you are a die-hard Eagles fan, be sure to tune in at 6:30 p.m. to watch the game.
