Frigid winter temperatures in Spartanburg County have left many people bundling up.
But not everyone.
Like other high schools, Chapman has a few students who simply can’t imagine themselves in anything other than shorts.
Junior Grayson Pruitt is one of the boys committed to shorts.
“I spend most of my time indoors and at school,” he said. “I find them more comfortable than pants.”
Although Pruitt said that he would wear sweatpants occasionally, he simply preferred shorts.
“It has been my style for as long as I can remember,” he said. “I just prefer them over pants.”
Sophomore Evan Li also prefers shorts.
“Shorts are comfortable and flexible to move in,” he said. “I play sports, so wearing shorts all the time makes it easier since I don’t have to change. I get hot quickly, so wearing shorts keeps my temperate level balanced.”
Like Pruitt, Li does admit there are times when he has to wear pants.
“I wear shorts year-round, but if it’s severely cold outside, I will put pants on,” he said.
