Pro wrestling fans don’t need to shell out big money for WWE tickets when there’s pro wrestling in Boiling Springs for only $10.
Explosive Pro Wrestling, or EPW, is a professional wrestling company that is located in Boiling Springs at 112 Builders Ct.
One of the wrestlers in EPW is Luke Fury, who is from Boiling Springs and grew up with EPW.
“Wrestling for EPW is honestly one of the coolest things I do,” he said. “I grew up in EPW. The first time I got in their ring I was two weeks old, so it all means a lot more to me than the average guy who works there.”
Another wrestler who works in EPW is Fafo Mean. He says performing brings him happiness.
“It’s really exciting walking into the ring with a bunch of adoring fans feels like home, and it brings me complete joy,” Means said.
Fury believes EPW can be entertaining for a small-town community for a cheaper price tag.
“EPW and professional wrestling as a whole are very beneficial to small towns like Boiling Springs and Inman,” he said. “Some folks aren’t exactly able to afford a WWE or AEW event when they come to town. We offer affordable and entertaining professional wrestling for the whole community.”
Means believes that EPW can bring a higher level of excitement to smaller towns.
“EPW is the best thing that has happened to these small towns,” he said. “Everyone is always thrilled to be there.”
Fury wants EPW to get involved with the Inman and Boiling Springs communities.
“In the future, I’d like to see EPW get more involved with the community with different things,” he said. “I would honestly just appreciate it for people to just give it a chance. It’s one of the greatest forms of entertainment in the world, and it being in my hometown, it means so much more to me.”
Means would like to see EPW expand beyond Boiling Springs.
“I would love to see EPW traveling in the future,” Means said.
EPW runs from 8 p.m. to roughly 10 p.m. every Friday night. Concessions are available.
