A Super Bowl of broken records
Super Bowl LII was filled with broken records and many plays that nobody predicted would happen.
To start, nobody thought that both teams quarterbacks would have a chance to receive a crucial touchdown pass, and that Eagle’s QB Nick Foles would be the only one to complete the catch.
This was a very wacky game that was unique in many aspects. For example, Tom Brady broke his record for most passing yards in a Super Bowl with 505 which is very odd considering that they lost. Another thing about this is that the Patriots are also the team to score the most points in a Super Bowl loss.
This was a very offensive game that was filled with spectacular plays and another interesting record that was broken. There was only one punt during the entire game, and New England never had to bring out the punting squad.
This is very rare to see a game like that in this day and age due to the awesome defenses in the league now.
The Patriots defense also never sacked Nick Foles, but the Eagles did get to Brady once.
The game also surprised many in the fact of the miserable kicking. This game had more missed PAT’s than any other in history, which is absurd due to the game being played indoors and having no effect from weather or wind.
It is just hard to believe that the Patriots still lost after playing as well as they did. The Eagles just did it better.
I think in the end, we all got the game we hoped for. It was exciting and anything but boring. There were hardly any moments in the game without action, and it even delivered a couple controversial calls.
Whether you watched it or not, I feel like we as fans were delivered an awesome game, and I would not expect any less from a Super Bowl.
