In February, Monster Mini Golf opened in Spartanburg; it is located at 141 Fernwood Drive.
This is a franchise chain of entertainment centers located all around North America.
Monster Mini Golf brings an arcade, mini bowling and an 18-hole mini golf course theme with monsters and a mystery of Spartanburg around the course.
The mini golf course is unique with its glow-in-the-dark feature and the obstacles, with monsters and fans that will blow the ball in a different direction.
The course also has sand and rough patches of the carpet to affect the speed of the golf ball.
There is a DJ for the music throughout the building, and his stand is near the course.
He usually watches and tells jokes throughout the time you play, but he does sometimes come around to certain players to play a pro, which is where he will play the hole you’re on; if you tie or beat him, you win a prize.
Sadly, neither of us was able to beat him, so we don’t know what the prize is.
But overall, the course and experience of mini golf is fun and makes us want to play again.
The arcade is a part that reminds you of a bowling alley or a skating rink arcade due to the fact that there aren’t too many games to play, but there is enough to make you buy a $10 to $25 card to have some fun while waiting for mini golf or bowling or after finishing a round of each.
One problem with the arcade is that there is a lot of luck and claw machine games that were overpriced for the value in return.
We didn’t try out the bowling, but it was a different type from just looks. It was mini bowling with smaller lanes and balls, and you could only play five frames at a time.
We highly recommend taking a few hours on the weekend and visiting Monster Mini Golf.
