Jacob Bridgeman gets invited to Junior World Cup
In early March senior Jacob Bridgeman was asked to play in the 2018 Junior World Cup.
“This is an international tournament hosted in Japan composed of players from 26 different countries, having four players each to represent them,” Bridgeman said.
The guys will be in Japan to compete as individuals and for their countries.
“Everyone is competing for the individual title as well as the team is competing for the team title,” Bridgeman said.
A selection committee choses and invites the best high school seniors in the nation to participate, and to be chosen is a high honor and speaks to their skill as a highschool golfer.
“It’s a huge honor anytime I have the chance to represent the United States on an international stage,” Bridgeman said.
Bridgeman has represented the United States once before at the Junior Presidents Cup in September of 2017.
“It gives me a chance to show my game once more on the junior golf circuit and transition me into collegiate golf,” Bridgeman said.
Here at Chapman we are wishing Bridgeman the best of luck and safe travels to Japan!
