This summer, the Chapman football team will attend four camps to prepare for the upcoming season.
The team will travel to Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia and West Virginia.
The trip begins June 1 and will be a three-night stay, with the team attending a different camp each day.
Head coach Harry Cabaniss is optimistic about the opportunity.
“I’m really excited to have the players grow as a team,” Cabaniss said. “Every year is a new year and a new team, so they get a new chance next year to establish themselves.”
Cabaniss said the trip includes the entire upperclassmen roster.
“The whole team is getting to go on this from 10th grade through 12th grade,” Cabaniss said. “I’m excited it’s not just a 7-on-7 or only some of the starters going, but it’s everyone.”
Players are also looking forward to the experience.
Junior Taylor Rogers is especially optimistic about the exposure.
“It will help a lot because of the college coaches that will be there and the feedback on the things I will be doing,” Rogers said.
Sophomore Ashton Moore said he is eager to spend time with teammates and adjust to changes within the program.
“Spending time with each other and with the new coaches and the new offense, I’ll be able to see better things than I have before and see the next level,” Moore said.
