Chapman High School Teacher Cadets, along with administrators, recently updated the school’s bulletin boards.
The boards had not been changed in years. Some still displayed information from three principals ago.
Students and administrators said the updates were needed to reflect current events and promote activities happening around the school.
“The bulletin boards aren’t even relevant if they have information on them that doesn’t have anything to do with what’s going on in current situations in our school,” Principal Matt Davis said.
Administrators said they had concerns about the outdated displays and were pleased to see students take initiative.
“I’m very happy they are updating them and including students like Teacher Cadets to help,” guidance secretary Allison Mathis said.
Senior Preslee Taylor said she enjoyed being part of the project.
“I liked learning new things and having opportunities to help the school change and update,” Taylor said.
Teacher Cadets said they were glad to make a difference.
Students said the project also served as a bonding experience for those who worked together while updating the displays.
The refreshed bulletin boards help students stay informed. They also allow teachers and administrators to better communicate what is happening around campus, making the school feel more current.
