Week four of college football welcomes several potential upsets

Three weeks of college football are now completed, and we are starting to get a good idea of what teams are good and what teams are struggling. Alabama has been exactly what everyone expected, but there are several teams that have surprised some people in their first three games.

There have also been quite a few upsets so far this season, and I really believe there will be a few more on Saturday. The season has also shown that you cannot underestimate a team any given week.

  1. No. 2 Georgia at Missouri: 12 p.m. kickoff

Missouri QB Drew Lock has really stood out to me so far, throwing almost 400 yards in his last two games. He is throwing the ball consistently and seems to handle high-pressure situations very well. The Missouri defense will have to force turnovers and contain the run game from Georgia’s Deandre Swift if they want to have a chance at spoiling the party. The game will be at Missouri, which helps the momentum and energy for the Tigers. If they can keep the Bulldogs out of the end zone they will have a big opportunity to win this game.

  1. No. 17 TCU at Texas: 4:30 p.m. kickoff

Another team that has a big chance to make a statement is Texas, who recently ran over No. 22 USC. The Longhorns will host No. 17 TCU, who just suffered a heartbreaking loss to Ohio State.

Receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey came up big in the game against USC, only catching the ball 4 times, but for 84 yards and a TD. He will be a big component to the offense against TCU. The Horned Frogs put up a lot of points against Ohio State and they will be able to capitalize on that in this game.

  1. No. 24 Michigan State at Indiana: 7:30 p.m. kickoff

The game I give the biggest chance of being an upset is Michigan State and Indiana. This Indiana team seems well put together and will face a struggling Michigan State at home.

Quarterback Peyton Ramsey has already led the Hoosiers to three victories so far. I definitely think he can overcome the Michigan State defense, but the only issue may be the Indiana defense holding up to the Spartan offense. They also struggled with turning the ball over against Arizona State, and cannot afford to do it again.

Other notable games to keep an eye on will be Texas A&M at No. 1 Alabama, No. 7 Stanford at No. 20 Oregon, and No. 18 Wisconsin at Iowa.
