The Movie Night will be on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m..

Chapman’s very own Mayor’s Youth Council is hosting Inman’s first annual movie night. The event will take place at LeRoy Mathis park this Saturday, Nov. 17 starting at 6 p.m.

Mayor Huff and the City of Inman will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6, welcoming the new park to Inman. Community members voted on the movie they’d like to see throughout the past few months, and “The Sandlot” was chosen. The movie begins at 7 p.m., but community members are encouraged to come early to save their spots and get food from the vendors.

Admission is free, but everyone is encouraged to bring a canned food to donate to local food pantries. Those who participate and bring a can will receive a free bag of popcorn.

Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy “The Sandlot” with popcorn, boiled peanuts, and other fair foods. The forecast calls for fairly chilly weather, so it is highly encouraged to bundle up in warm attire. Also, do not forget to bring chairs and blankets to sit on.

Parking is available at the American Legion Building and across the street at the nursing home.

“We’re extremely excited for this event,” Vice President of Mayor’s Youth Council Gracie Bryant said. “Maddie (the President) and I have worked tirelessly with Mayor Huff and city council over the past few months to ensure this event is fun and exciting.”
