Panthers narrowly escape Camden in the second round

The Panthers defeated Camden on a chilly Friday night by a score of 28-21 in the second round of the state playoffs. They were able to gain momentum late in the game due to two turnovers and a late touchdown which propelled them ahead of the Bulldogs. On the ensuing drive, Camden was able to make a late charge all the way to the Panther’s 30-yard line. This brief spark was put out by an interception from senior Jaylan Smith that sealed the game.

Next up is a third-round playoff rematch against Union County, whom the Panthers defeated back in the first week of play. This will be held at Chapman on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
