Panthers ground Eagles in season opener
Chapman overcame a 7-0 deficit in the second quarter to defeat Chesnee, 41-14 Friday night.
Key to the Panthers’ success was sophomore quarterback Colton Bailey, who threw four touchdown passes for 27 uninterrupted points to put the Panthers safely ahead.
This week, Chapman will play Woodruff in the Panthers’ home opener.
Bailey encourages fans to come out and support the team.
“The fans create huge momentum swings,” he said. “If the fans are cheering and happy, it helps my confidence and makes me want to play harder.”
