Shorten class time

Classes are currently 90 minutes long. Sitting in a classroom that long in an uncomfortable chair and desk can mentally and physically drain us as students. If classes were 75 minutes instead of 90 minutes, students would be less drained.

Those extra 15 minutes would go to Flex Time and class change. By doing this, we would have 10 minutes to change classes instead of five minutes. Then, we would give the leftover 10 minutes to Flex Time. Students would have more time to study and to walk to class.

Now say we did do all of this. What would be the outcome?

The first thing is both students and teachers would be happier. It would allow people to use the restroom. This would possibly solve the problem of students being late to class. Students wouldn’t be so exhausted all the time, which means they would be more focused on school work. Shorter classes can mean less time wasted. Less time also makes it where teachers have fewer assignments to grade.

Fewer assignments to grade on the weekends can make better sleep schedules, happier teachers and happier students.
