The reality of early graduation

The number of juniors who want to graduate early has increased in the past five years.

”There are currently 22 students graduating early this year”, said guidance counselor Susan Burgess.

Most juniors leave because they are ready to get out of school early, and others are ready just to explore the world.

Many early graduates have a plan for college.

“I want to go to Wofford college to do pre-med,” said senior Maddie Atkins.

The great thing about getting a head start in your elective classes is the benefits.

Atkins took the class “so that I could get a head start in my career.”

But not all juniors take the route of going straight to college.

Some want to get a job and go straight to work.

“I want to work for JCDC “Power,” said senior Clint Lancaster.
