Food options at school should be less expensive
As many people know, teenagers nowadays have trouble finding the money they need to buy food and drinks, school activities, etc. It may be hard for parents to provide cash to their children to get goods and such.
If you walk around high schools and cafeterias you will notice a vending machine with water prices starting at $2! It might be easier if they had a fridge at school and just handed out free water; the school only has to pay $2 for a whole pack.
In the cafeteria in schools, there are extra options you can purchase like chips and Gatorade, and sodas you can buy. If one person is wealthy and the other is not, then there shouldn’t be the option because that causes jealousy, which leads to unkind people which leads to fighting.
Teachers and administrators may argue that it raises money for the school, but it is really a problem.
Schools should just use school-based fundraisers like boosterthons, color runs, etc.
I am very confident that if they took away prices and extra options, this will increase kindness.
Every day I go to lunch and see people asking for other people’s food, and I really think that this causes jealousy and unkindness. stopping prices and providing extra options will make the student more able to eat.
This would be a great option for the world today.
