Shyamalan’s “The Visit” includes big twist: It’s even worse than imagined
“The Visit” is an awful horror movie. It is lazy, not funny and not scary.
The director, M. Night Shyamalan, is known for making bad movies, but this may be the worst.
“The Visit” is the story of Becca and her brother Tyler who visit their grandparents for the first time and realize that something is off. Their grandparents go to sleep at 9:30, and the siblings aren’t allowed to leave their rooms after that time.
I wish my parents had kept me in my room rather than letting me see this movie.
I would mention the actors by name, but I’m not certain cardboard cutouts have names.
“The Visit” is a horror movie that isn’t scary, relying too heavily on jumps and creepiness.
“The Visit” tries to be funny, but it isn’t.
There’s a scene included in the trailer where the grandmother cutout says, “Would you please get inside the oven to clean it?” I’m just sorry the movie couldn’t get inside.
This movie is so dead that the only person who can see it is Haley Joel Osment.
I highly, highly, highly recommend that you not visit your local movie theater.
