Senior Spotlight: Colton Bailey

Chapman’s star quarterback Colton Bailey is starting his year off with a bang. Bailey is leading his team to another ring and is definitely enjoying his last year here at Chapman so far.

“My favorite part of this year is having work release,” says Bailey. Having that time off before practice is very essential in making a great football player.

In order to do well in high school, Bailey states that you need “to be respectful and responsible for your work and you will be fine.” He has done an outstanding job at displaying these qualities, and they are the main part of his success here at Chapman.

Throughout his years here at Chapman, Bailey has made many accomplishments. Some of these include being a part of the Beta Club and the National Honors Society, as well as receiving many football awards.

Although his many accomplishments have been rewarding, Bailey says, “My favorite part of high school so far was winning a state championship last year.” He led the Panthers all the way to Williams Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina, where Chapman beat Dillon 29-27.

After graduation, Bailey plans to attend a 4-year college and major in mathematics and minor in education.

Along with the winning season and his last 2 semesters of High School approaching, Bailey is looking forward to enjoying his last year here at Chapman and hopefully leading his team to another state championship.
