There is a new restaurant in Inman called Old Town Pizza, and while the pizza stands out, there are a few things diners should know before visiting.
The menu offers a wide variety of pizzas, including cheese, pepperoni, barbecue chicken and build-your-own options. The restaurant also serves wings and nuggets, along with classic pizza-parlor sides such as garlic bread, mozzarella sticks, bacon bread and jalapeƱo bread.
Old Town Pizza has a spacious seating area that can accommodate large groups comfortably. However, the ordering process is different from most restaurants. Customers place their order at the host stand when they enter, then choose their seats. Drinks are picked up separately at the back of the restaurant, where customers receive a glass with ice and a can of soda, or a glass of tea if ordered.
I visited with a group and tried the pepperoni pizza and garlic bread, both of which are wood-fired. While both items were well received, the garlic bread was the group favorite.
The wood-fired cooking gave the food a noticeable smoked flavor that added to the experience. Overall, we rated the restaurant an 8.5 out of 10.
For those looking for a casual dining experience with wood-fired pizza and a unique setup, Old Town Pizza is worth checking out in Inman.
