“The Hunger Games” ends with the odds in its favor

“The Hunger Games” is a franchise that fittingly has started a revolution, leaving studios  to develop franchises such as “The Maze Runner” and “Divergent.”

The final film in this groundbreaking franchise, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2” is smart and action-packed and a fitting ending.

The movie chronicles Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence)  and the rebels in the districts as they begin their attack on the Capitol and President Snow (Donald Sutherland). They face both psychological and physical obstacles on their way to take the Capital.

Lawrence returns as the heroine Katniss and she is one of the best actors in the movie along with the late Philip Seymour Hoffman and Sutherland.

Director Francis Lawrence develops bleak visuals and strong action sequences.

I give “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2” 4 stars out of 5.
