Disney+ arrives on the streaming scene

On Nov. 12, 2019, Disney Incorporated released its own streaming service known as Disney+. With over 500 films and 7,500 episodes of television available, Disney+ offers something for everyone. The new streaming service offers traditional Disney fare such as “The Little Mermaid” and “Frozen,” but the plus symbol isn’t just a design element. The service features shows and movies from Disney-owned-or-affiliated companies such as Pixar, Marvel, National Geographic and Fox Productions; the viewing possibilities are endless.

With the release of Disney+, all Disney productions have been removed or will be removed from other streaming services.

As someone who has had Disney+ since the release date, I am a huge fan and would highly recommend it to anyone. The only downside I have found is the lack of a “Currently Watching” section. This was something included in all other streaming services, and when I realized Disney+ was lacking that, I was surprised.

Disney+ is available through the app for $7.99 a month or $69.99 a year. For those with Verizon Unlimited, the service is available free for one year.
