The beauty of the GIF

Can GIFs work better than words? Yes, yes, they can.

The popular “moving pictures” also known as “GIF,” or graphics interchange format, are my new favorite conversation piece.

When texting, I personally love using emojis. Their cute facial expressions and emotions add lots of excitement to boring conversations. However, a GIF is a much more exact emotion. They can show everything you are not just feeling but also thinking.

GIFs have evolved.

The original GIF debuted in June 1987. Twenty-nine years later they are still used everyday. GIFs can be anything from a dancing banana to your favorite actor or actress saying their most famous line.

GIFs know how to say exactly what you want without having to say the words yourself.

I personally believe that the moving pictures are perfect for anything you are trying to say. Yes, I am aware that having a face to face conversation is what you are supposed to do; however, sometimes you do not have the option of talking to someone face to face. So your only choice is a text or phone call.GIFs make it quick and easy to show how you feel.

When you are texting someone, what you are trying to say might not always come out the way it is supposed to. That, of course, causes lots of unnecessary confusion.

I thank you, Steve Wilhite, the creative GIF inventor for coming up with such an incredible idea that shows emotion perfectly.
