Students should be given extra credit for perfect attendance

High school students wake up early in the morning and put in the effort of getting ready to get to school. Students should get academic credit for doing this every day and not missing a single day.

As a high school student, I think that waking up every morning in high school and getting perfect attendance should deserve extra credit. It would be very beneficial to me academically.

Teachers may argue that we shouldn’t get extra credit because we didn’t do any work for it, but we did do work by waking up early in the morning and getting to school on time.

I am very confident that getting extra credit for perfect attendance would help students academically. Coming to school every day means we are giving it our all to get good grades, so why not give extra credit to bump our grades up even more?

Every day that I get out of school, I go to the locker room, go to the field to practice football or even play football games, go home and do homework, and go to sleep. This makes my days very long, and then I wake up early to do it all again.

Having extra credit for doing this could really help me be the student I want to be. When I got perfect attendance, I would know it would be worth the effort because I would get rewarded.

Teachers give us opportunities to get extra credit for completing extra assignments. A little bit of extra credit would be nice for getting to school every day as well.

As long as we make it every day, we should definitely have some extra credit for perfect attendance. I would certainly wake up in the morning and get to school on time every day to get perfect attendance if we got some extra credit to improve my grades.

The benefits go beyond that as well. Research shows that getting good grades makes you a better person in general with no stress.

I am fortunate to have a family that has the time to help me get clothes and time and equipment to go to school, but not many people are so fortunate. People that are not so fortunate and still get to school on time should definitely reap the rewards of going out of their way to get to school.

It is great that people get to school every day and get perfect attendance for nothing, but from now on I would love some extra credit every now and then.
